Despite facing a 10-point deficit late in the second half, the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team earned an 80-73 win over the College of Staten Island on Tuesday night. The non-conference victory pushes the Purple Knights' record to 7-7 this season. We spoke with Graduate student Sam DeSouza after his season-high 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting. He also grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds to secure his first double-double of the season, in addition to recording two blocks, two steals and two assists.
